How do i jailbreak my iPod touch 3g on 4.1 with Limera1n?

I went through the limera1n process, put my iPod into DFU mode and all of that stuff but when it says the jailbreak is finished and i wait for my iPod to turn back on the limera1n icon doesn't show up. Do i have to restore my iPod before running limera1n or anything like that?
