Standing at the Crossroads of Divorce?

I am really up in the air of what to do. I have been with my wife for 7 years and married just over 3yrs, we have 3 children together all boys. They are wonderful, now back before we married her father and step mother told me not to marry her, that she is a discontent. Well I thought we were in love, baby on the way etc. Throughout this marriage she has called the police on me 3 times because of BS, claiming Domestic Violence, all dismissed, but of course I had to sit in jail, but she has always let me back home, she spends money without a care, she never looks at prices just buys what she wants, now she moved out and were separated because there is no more money, but she says separated to figure things out for herself. Why do I put up with it? I love my boys, and they need something solid, but I think I need to move on, I am considering moving out of state, to get away from the drama, because she thrives on that. Any input?
