What plecos can be kept in a high ph enviroment?

I currently own 2 plecos, 1.royal with is in my bichardi tank,ph 7.8,and !. high spot pleco in my malawi pea tank,ph 8.0,gold nuggets die all the time and I've tried other royals but I think mine is a freak of nature,any suggestions?
